Purpose of this fun ice breaker:  Acquaintance and Communication

Group Size for this fun ice breaker: Large Group and or small group.

What do you need for this fun ice breaker? Nothing else except the students and teacher with a book and pens or pencils.

How much time does it take for this fun ice breaker? 20+ minutes (10 minutes of prep time)

Objective of the icebreaker:  To enable the children three new things about their colleagues.

Procedure:

  1. The teacher should ask the students to write two things that are true to them.
  2. Then write one thing that is not true.
  3. The teacher should share.
  4. The teacher will then call each student to share the three things written down with the rest.
  5. The other children will be asked to guess what the three things are.

Procedure:

  1. 1.      The teacher should interview every student with some questions.
  2. 2.      The nature of the questions should be like: Your name, age, where were you born? Do you have sisters and brothers etc.
  3. 3.      The teacher will then organize the students in pairs.
  4. 4.      The students should then be allowed to interview each other.
  5. 5.      After some time like 5 minutes, the teacher will call every student and ask them about the students they were able to interview.

Objective of the icebreaker:  To enable the children three new things about their colleagues.

Procedure:

  1. This is best done at snack time during the day.
  2. Provide the students with a type of candy that is unique for every individual.
  3. Allow the students to pick as many as they would like to have.
  4. Allow each of the students to came and tell you about the thing they know about every of the candy they possess.

  1. The teacher will need to provide every student with a typing paper. A construction paper can also do.
  2. Ask the students to write their names down on the side of the page of the paper.
  3. Ask the students to write down every letter in their name and one thing about themselves.
  4. After about 10 minutes, ask each of the students to tell the rest of their colleagues the poem they have made from their names.

Objective of the icebreaker:  To enable the children learn new things about their colleagues and creativity.

Procedure:

  1. The teacher needs to organize the students into groups of four or five.
  2. Allow them to share the magazines and glue.
  3. Each student should have a piece of construction paper.
  4. The teacher should ask the students to look at the magazine and look for pictures that illustrate personalities of likes and dislikes.
  5. The students would then be allowed to make collage with the pictures.
  6. After sometime, the student should be allowed to share their thoughts with the class.
